This is where most people quit. Don’t. It’s 8 steps and you’ll use them forever.
Step 1: Set Your Custom Canvas Size
Open Canva and click Custom Size. Type 22 x 24 inches. Change the unit to inches, not pixels, then let Canva convert. You’ll get a huge blank board. That’s your film.
Step 2: Upload Artwork For DTF
Click Uploads, then Upload Files. Bring in PNGs with transparent backgrounds. JPGs won’t work because you’ll get a white box. Name your files so you don’t lose track. “ClientName_ChestLogo_v3.png” beats “image_12.png” every time.

If you drop to 150 DPI to shrink size, your text under 12pt will look fuzzy after transfer. We’ve tested this on 400+ runs. 300 DPI is the floor.
For vector logos, export from Canva at the largest size possible. Vectors scale, but once they’re in Canva they rasterize. So start big.
File size isn’t just about upload. Big files choke older RIPs. If your PNG is 250MB, break it into two 11x24 sheets. You’ll print faster.
