What Are Sublimation Transfers

Sublimation Transfers are printed on special paper with dye ink. Heat turns the dye to gas. The gas bonds with polyester fibers. It becomes part of the shirt. You can’t feel it. You can’t scratch it off.

This only works on polyester or poly-coated items. Cotton won’t hold it. 65/35 blends will look faded. We use a Sublimation Gang Sheet Builder so you can fit multiple designs on one sheet and cut costs.

What to Avoid

Don’t use on cotton. It washes out in 2 washes. On cotton blends you’ll get a vintage faded look. For true color, stick to 100% polyester.
